Before you apply
How we work
The working terms every editor on the roster operates under. Read it fully — you'll confirm you've agreed to it just below the application form.
- Independent contractor, remoteProject-based work, your own hours, and you're free to take other clients as long as it doesn't conflict with active Copyskillz work.
- PaymentRate and method are agreed in writing before every project. Small tasks are paid on delivery; larger projects are 50% upfront / 50% on approval, released within 3–5 business days.
- Briefs & revisionsEvery project comes with a clear brief and includes up to 2 rounds of revisions.
- Deadlines & communicationDeadlines are firm — we ask for 24 hours' notice on any delay, and a reply within 12 hours on your working days.
- Files & softwareLicensed software only. Client footage is deleted from your device once a project closes.
- ConfidentialityClient materials stay confidential, and client work isn't shared publicly without written permission.
- OwnershipDelivered work belongs to the client once paid in full; portfolio use needs prior permission.
- Fair playNo approaching our clients directly for outside work, and no unapproved subcontracting.
- Ending the arrangementEither side can step away with notice; all approved work is always paid.
